Hello and welcome to the instructions of how to translate TheorieTV to English. Because translating the entire course to English would cost us a lot of money, TheorieTV suggests using Google Toolbar or Google Chrome to translate the course to English. While the translation is definitely not perfect, it should be understandable if English is your native language. Google toolbar will only translate the written text of courses, and will not be able to translate either the spoken video's or the exammodule.

 

Described here is the installation instruction of Google Toolbar, which is available for the Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers. The Google Chrome browser comes with the translation tool embedded, and it's possible to use that for translating TheorieTV as well.

 

In order to download and install Google Toolbar, go to toolbar.google.com.

On the google toolbar homepage, you will see a dropdown box with "Select a language" in it. Click on it, and select your native language.

The page will reload, and you will see it is now in your selected language. It's important to change this, because it will be the default language that Google Toolbar will use for translating into. After the page has reloaded, click on Install Google Toolbar.

Before you are allowed to download Google Toolbar, you will first have to agree to Google's terms & conditions and their privacy policy. Change any settings you do not agree with, and hit Accept and Download.

A download dialogue will appear and we suggest to click on Run instead of Save. This will automatically run the Google toolbar download after it is finished downloading. The application is approximately 2 megabytes in size.

After the download is finished, depending on your operating system, it might ask for more permissions to install programs. Always allow the install to complete. 

Finally, when Google toolbar is completely installed, you can go back to www.theorie.tv and have the page translated to your language. In the now installed google toolbar you will see the following icon. If you click on that, it will translate the page to English.
